The Ministry of The Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth is responsible for:
- Education and training policies in general, and
- The school-based part and the part absolved in enterprises.
- General policy of vocational training: Basic vocational training; Initial vocational training; Master's degree; Continuing vocational training (collective and individual access); Socio-professional initiation training; 2nd qualification course in the field of vocational training vocational training; Unemployment training measures; Vocational retraining training; Secondary education institutions, National Centers for Vocational Training (CNFPC), Vocational Training Steering Committee, relations with the professional and employer chambers; Definition and issuing of national diplomas.
Local
Local authorities are responsible for:
- Participating in policy implementation;
- Linguistic learning (leave for employees willing to learn Luxembourgish), and
- Unpaid leave for training purpose.
