The Minsitry of Economy is in charge of:

  • The overall tourism policy;
  • Tourism promotion;
  • National Tourism Office;
  • Foreign tourism agencies;
  • Cross-border cooperation, and
  • The allocation of funding for local projects.


 

Local 

Local authorities are responsible for assisting in the implementation of national tourism policy by providing local tourism infrastructures and general tourism services at local level. Beyond mandatory coordination with state policy, municipalities likewise have the option to implement invididual tourism strategies.
