The Ministry of Youth and Sport is responsible for
- Developing policy for the development and popularisation of sports;
- Coordinating and monitoring all sports activities nationwide;
- Building awareness of the importance of sports in the national economy and encourage economic actors to contribute to its development;
- Supporting the work of sport associations;
- Administering the operation of sports facilities and -sporting medical facilities;
- Encourage political cooperation in sport at national and international levels;
- Ensure the participation of national teams in international sports competitions in coordination with the National Olympic Committee and sports federations.
