The Ministry of Youth and Sport is responsible for:

  • Preparing legislation, policy and regulations in the field of youth;
  • Developing programs for youth, children and women;
  • Support in the work of youth associations;
  • Developing activities relating to regional and international cooperation;
  • Commissioning studies likely to promote and contribute to the development of youth,

Sport

The Ministry of Youth and Sport is responsible for

  • Developing policy for the development and popularisation of sports;
  • Coordinating and monitoring all sports activities nationwide;
  • Building awareness of the importance of sports in the national economy and encourage economic actors to contribute to its development;
  • Supporting the work of sport associations;
  • Administering the operation of sports facilities and -sporting medical facilities;
  • Encourage political cooperation in sport at national and international levels;
  • Ensure the participation of national teams in international sports competitions in coordination with the National Olympic Committee and sports federations.
