Central Government

 

 The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training  
 

  • Define guidelines for vocational training and general organisation thereof;
  • Undertaking studies to identify current and future needs in training and mobilizing the resources needed to meet them;
  • Leading the work of the board of vocational training;
  • Developing and revising the training programs with the various operators in the field;
  • Ensuing the optimal use of educational spaces and resources;
  • Controlling the quality of services of the stakeholders in the sector and conducting periodic evaluations of the VET system;
  • Facilitating cooperation between the different parties involved in the operation of the VET system at national, regional, provincial and sectoral levels;
  • Promoting VET for groups with specific needs, particularly detainees and the disabled;
  • Guiding international cooperation programs in the field of VET;
  • Promoting partnership with local authorities, public institutions and non-governmental organizations.

The National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Competencies (L'Agence Nationale de Promotion de l'Emploi et des Compétences - ANAPEC) is a public service company that supports job seekers looking into entering the labour market. It is an active intermediary in the labour market.

 


Regional Level


Regions are responsible for

  • adopts all measures in the area of vocational training;
  • training local authority staff and managers ( delegated functions)


The prefecture/province are responsible for:

  • vocational training and training of local authority staff and local elected representatives (delegated functions)

 


Local Government​

 

  • Building and maintenance of centres for learning and
  • Vocational training of municipal elected representatives (delegated functions)
