The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food is responsible for:

  • Drawing up fishery policy and legislation;
  • Developing the fishery sector;
  • The management of Slovenian inland water fishery resources;
  • Relations with the EU under the Common Fisheries Policy and the European Fisheries Fund for the sustainable development of fisheries, aquaculture, processing, and marketing of fishery and aquaculture products.
