​Central

State authorities are responsible for:

  • Coordination and management of the TEN-T projects in Croatia;
  • Actively participates in the use of available EU funds for the period of 2014-2020;
  • Intermediate body for development and implementation of thematic projects;
  • Prepare projects for all transport sectors in the line with the EU's strategic objectives for transport policy;
  • Controlling the completion of period of a project implementation and submit progress reports to the European Commission.

Regional

Regional authorities are responsible for:

  • Regional coordination of the TEN-T projects;
  • Drafting multi-annual and annual strategic and operational documents for regional development;
  • Establishment of a transparent system for the use of EU's Structural Funds;
  • Cooperation (excluding logistical/organisational assistance) with other administrative bodies in the implementation of the TEN-T projects at the regional level;
  • Monitoring work of companies which are implementing the projects.

Local

Local authorities are responsible for:

  • Coordinating infrastructural projects of local importance, if specifically transferred by the government's decision
  • Reporting on a progress to regional and central authorities.
