Croatia EU

​Since 1st July 2013, Croatia has nine members and an equal number of alternates in the national delegation to the CoR. There are twelve members from Croatia  in the European Parliament. Croatia is not yet a member of either Schengen Area or Euro-zone.

 

The Croatian Regions have a liaison office in Brussels.[1] Some Croatian counties have their own representation or liaison offices in Brussels: Dubrovnik-Neretva County[2], Osijek-Baranja County (joint office with the City of Osijek)[3], County of Istria[4].

 

Both the Croatian Association of Municipalities and the Association of Cities in the Republic of Croatia cooperate with the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS)[5]. The Croatian Counties' Association is a member of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR[6]). Ten Croatian counties are members of the Assembly of European Regions (AER[7]). Croatian local and regional authorities have  three representatives and two substitutes at the Chamber of Local Authorities, and two representatives and three substitutes at the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe[8].​
