    Social policy is decided at the national level, including work and professional relations, social security, social promotion and migration. More specifically, the Ministry is in charge of:
    Social research;
  • Development of appropriate legislation and policies;
  • Develop projects tackling solidarity, equal opportunities, and combatting social exclusion;
  • Consolidate and reform social security schemes;
  • Promote participation in civil society; 
  • International cooperation; and
  • Information and communication.

Regional

The regional social affairs departments are devolved administrations answering to the ministry[1].
