  • The use of agricultural land, forests and other natural resources; 
  • The protection of plants against diseases and vermin;
  • Study and research of meteorological, hydrological and bio-meteorological phenomena and processes;
  • Agricultural policy analysis;
  • Viticulture, wine and fruit legislation in line with EU and international standards;
  • Horticulture;
  • Livestock;
  • Agricultural production, and
  • The monitoring and records of registered farmers.
  • Utilization of agricultural land, forests and other natural treasures;
  • Hunting and fishing;
  • Protection of cattle and plants from diseases and pests;
  • Hydromeliorative systems;
  • Hydrological, agro-meteorological measuring, as well as anti-hail protection;
  • Studying and researching of meteorological, hydrological and bio-meteorological occurrences and processes;
  • Supervision within its competence;

Local government units have voluntary powers to promote and support local producers and ensure compliance with legislation.
