Central level

The Ministry for Education and Employment is responsible for:


The National Employment Policy (2014) sets out several programmes and initiatives for developing skills for work and entrepreneurship, including the 'New Skills or New Jobs' agenda.


 

Regional level  

The Regional Councils are responsible for:

  • The provision of assistance to local councils within the region to benefit and successfully manage programmes which are funded by the European Union;
  • The provision of subsidy to  students for researches regarding aspects relating to the region


           

          Local level

          The Local Councils are responsible for:

                • Providing lifelong learning services with a particular focus on adults and the elderly;

                • Establishment, upkeep and maintenance of educational  services or buildings.
