The National Agency for Regional Development is responsible for:

• Implementation of  regional development policy
• Supporting entrepreneurship,
• Managing infrastructure projects,
• Establishing and strengthening international and interregional cooperation.

Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, Regional Development Strategy, Stabilization and Association Agreement, National Strategy for the EU Accession, Regional Development Policy and Law on Regional Development

• The overall policy, in accordance with the EU standards;
• The legislation on regional development;
• The cooperation with carriers of local and regional development (regional agencies, municipalities, businessmen, associations);
• The Department of Regional Development Policy and IPA projects.

The Ministry of State Administration and Local Government performs state administration relating to: system of state administration and organization of the work of ministries and special organizations, public agencies and public services.

Regional

The Vojvodina Provincial Secretariat for Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government is responsible for:

• Interregional cooperation and maintaining of the relations between the AP Vojvodina and other regions, international organizations and institutions, particularly AER, AEBR, Euro region Danube-Kris-Mureş-Tisza;
• Monitoring of interregional relations and cooperation with different regions and their development;
• Participation in the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of interregional agreements, conferences, seminars, research, programmes
