Central

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development is in charge of:

  • The overall policy;
  • Developing a flexible vocational education and training (VET) system based on the principles of Lifelong Learning.

The Reforming Vocational Training in Serbia programme commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) was in place from 2013 to 2015.

The result included targeted training programmes in eight vocational training schools, partnerships with private sector for job creation, bi-annual conference on development opportunities extensive marketing to promote vocational training opportunities.

 

Regional

The Vojvodina Provincial Secretariat for Education, Administration and National Communities regulates organised and institutional education outside the school system with a view to professional upgrading and training of adults in the territory.

 

Local

Local municipalities are responsible for establishing, managing and monitoring vocational secondary schools and colleges in the area (as with all education institutions).
