Denmark Subsidiarity

Subsidiarity[1]

The Parliament (Folketing) established a mechanism of subsidiarity scrutiny within the framework of the Early Warning System. Nevertheless, it does not formally consult the local and regional authorities.

Although the Regions and Municipalities are not formally consulted, they participate informally in the subsidiarity scrutiny process through regular channels of cooperation between the ministries and the local and regional authorities.[2]
