Czechia Vocational Training

The National Institution of Technical and Vocational Education (NUOV), which is run by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, is responsible for providing comprehensive support for the development of technical education, with lifelong learning and the EU membership of  Czechia as the leading basis.

 

Nationally, there are 20 Sector Skills Councils which support the development of the National Qualification Framework. The Councils provide a monitoring function in addition.


 

Regional

Regional authorities have governance of upper secondary Vocational Education Training (VET) within their areas of responsibility.

 

Local

Municipalities can support vocational training initiatives on a voluntary basis according to need.

Otherwise no responsibilities identified at the local level.
