Czechia Subsidiarity

Subsidiarity[1]

Both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies established a mechanism of subsidiarity scrutiny within the framework of the Early Warning System (EWS). Nevertheless, the chambers do not formally consult local and regional authorities with regard to subsidiarity.[2] Although local and regional authorities are not formally consulted with regard to the subsidiarity scrutiny, regional representatives can express their opinions concerning EU legislative proposals during the debates which take place at the parliamentary committee level.[3]
