Regional
Regional authorities are responsible for:
- Developing economic activities with the objective of improvement of economic structure and creation of new jobs or ensuring stability of endangered jobs, and
- Improving the infrastructure of the territory, including conditions for transportation services.
Regional authorities can devise and implement projects in accordance with calls for proposals under the various EU structural funds, including and not limited to, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF), and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Local
Local authorities can devise and implement projects in accordance with calls for proposals under the various EU structural funds.
LEADER groups manage projects implemented at the local level, with dedicated funding under the EAFRD. Other sources include ESF and ERDF funding.
