Czechia Tourism

Central

The central government is responsible for:

  • Co-ordination of all entities operating in the tourism sector.
  • Legislation to improve tourism.
  • Consumer Protection.
  • EU Structural funds financing projects in the Tourism sector.

 

There is also a Czech Tourism Authority, which is responsible for the presentation of the Czech Republic on the domestic and foreign markets. Czech Convention Bureau (part of Czech Tourism Authority) is responsible for the promotion of Czechia in the field of congress and incentive tourism on the domestic and foreign market.


 

Regional

Regional authorities are responsible for:

  • Approving development plans in the area of tourism on the territory of the region, and
  • Arranging for the implementation of the development plans and monitoring their performance.

 

Local 
Municipalities can support local business in the area of tourism on a voluntary basis and participate in projects under European structural funds.​
