Bulgaria Trans-European networks


Central


 

Bulgaria has 2 Core Network Corridors, the Orient/East-Med Corridor and the Rhine-Danube Corridor.

 The central government is responsible for:

  • The overall legislation (in accordance with the principles and rules of the common Trans-European network policy and international obligations);
  • The prioritisation of projects of "national importance" (energy lines for instance), and
  • Promoting trans-European Corridors and participating in EU macro-regional policies.


 

Regional


District authorities are responsible for project implementation in their areas of responsibility and ensuring maintenance of networks (whether energy infrastructure or hard infrastructure roads.)
