The Ministry of Education is responsible for
- Vocational and Technical Education policy and legislation;
- Projects;
- Admissions;
- Quality assurance;
- Establishment and regulation of vocational training institutions.
The adopted Strategy for the Development of Technical Vocational Education 2013-2020 presents a coherent vision on VET system and financial and technical (assistance) resources have been assured by the European Training Foundation.
A GIZ funded project is also in pace to promote demand led Vocation Education and training from 2015 β 2018.
The Moldova 2020 National Development Strategy aims to deliver education which is career relevant to develop skilled, flexible and productive labour force.

- Maintenance of institutions of secondary vocational education serving the people of the district concerned.
