Oversees and monitors institutions such as:

  • The Mauritian Institute for Research and Material Heritage Training
  • The office of National Museums
  • National Foundation for the protection of Ancient Cities
  • The National Library
  • The Mauritanian Institute of Music, Fine Arts and Performing Techniques
  • The Mauritanian Committee of Education, Culture and Science
  • National Chamber of Traditional Handicraft industry.

 

Local


Local communes are responsible for building and maintaining sports and local culture facilities.
