​Central

Education is highly centralised in Armenia, though regional bodies will carry out centralised policies.

The central government is responsible for:

  • The overall policy, legislation and implementation;
  • Development in education sector;
  • Inspections and standards;
  • Research;
  • Ensuring functioning and development of education system in Belarus;
  • Co-ordination of subordinated bodies and agencies in education sector;
  • Teaching plans and curricula;
  • Identification of Foreign diplomas and qualifications.
  • Statistical management and data collection.
  • The goals and tasks are:  comprehensively develop, patriotism;
  • State educational standards ensuring compliance education programs;
  • To contribute personnel, instructional and teaching of the educational institutions:  licensing procedure prescribed by law and ensuring the implementation of educational programs.
    monitoring and evaluation of the quality and efficiency of education systems.
  • Pre-schools; Primary, Basic and High Schools;

Regional

Regional bodies (the governors) carry out regional policy determined by central government. Other than fulfilling central level competencies within their area of responsibility, governors are responsible for co-ordinating local authorities (communities) in their region and providing a line of communication between the local and central levels of government.

Local

In this sphere, the Chief of a Community exercises the following voluntary power:

  • Assist in promotion of the role of youth;
  • Assist in activities of secondary schools.
