  • Executive Decree No 09-304 of 10 September 2009 established provincial directorates for energy and mining.
  • The Directorate for Energy and Mining is responsible at local level for monitoring the practical manifestation of various development programmes and implementing action programmes in the energy and mining sector, while ensuring the implementation of the guidelines of the central administration and enforcement of legislation on activities relating to energy, mining and hydrocarbons and heritage conservation[1].
