Central

The central Government is responsible for:

  • Establishing the legislative framework;
  • Putting in place register of profession standards;
  • Funding from the State Budget;
  • Establishing vocational training institutions;
  • Organising vocational orientation and research of the labour market and labour demand;
  • Providing for accreditation of examination centres; and
  • Integration through vocational training provided by the Social Integration State Agency.

Local

Local authorities are responsible for:

  • Implementation of vocational education;
  • Promoting the development of entrepreneurial activities; and
  • Establishing, in coordination with the government, vocational education institutions.
