• Promoting tourism in Latvia and abroad;.
• Creating and maintaining the Latvian tourism information systems; and
• Creating tourism information offices in Latvia and abroad.

Local

Local authorities are responsible for:

• Development of plans and territory planning;
• Providing resources and measures for tourism development;
• Promoting opportunities for tourism in their territory;
• Ensuring the preservation of tourism objects;.
• Participating in the development and financing of tourism information centres, points, and stands; and.

Supporting cultural educational activity in the area of tourism and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
