The Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for:

  • Overall legislation, with regard to both marine and inland waters (in accordance with the principles and rules of the Common Fisheries Policy and international obligations);
  • Management of fish resources;

The Ministry may transfer fishing rights to the municipalities.

 

Local

Local municipalities are responsible for:

  • Managing the use of fishing rights;

  • Ensuring access to public waters.
