Youth Affairs Department, Ministry of Youth and Sport

  • Develop and implement of state youth programmes;
  • Cooperation with youth NGOs.

 

Children and Youth Development Fund (legal entity of public law)

  • Promote youth involvement through funding and supporting implementation of various initiatives in line with national youth policy.
  • Support various youth and children unions and organisations through grants.


Children and Youth National Center (legal entity of public law)

  • Provide youth programmes as a national public body under the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia. 

 

Ministry of Justice of Georgia

  • Juvenile Diversion and Mediation programmes.

 

Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance

  • Deals with the juvenile detention system.

 

Sport

Department of Sport, Ministry of Youth and Sport

  • Develop and implement policy , norms and standards and technical materials
  • Provide sport infrastructure ;
  • Support, promoting and funding mass participation in sport;
  • Facilitate the high-achievement sport system through financing and infrastructure;
  • Support the creation of public and other non-governmental organisations;
  • Coordinate sports education system and training personnel;
  • Organise the publication of scientific, educational and sports popular literature;
  • Set state standards for sports funding;
  • Support the competition system at a national and international level and creating insuring incentives and awards for the athletes;
  • Monitor and register the National Sport Federations of Georgia.

 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • Support national groups in the international sport competitions.


The Office of the State Minister for Integration in European and Euro Atlantic structures

  • Harmonise of the Georgian legislation on sports with the relevant EU and international legislation.


Ministry of Education and Science

  • Supporting sport in secondary schools and universities and
  • Enabling sport teacher training and professional development.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs has a role facilitating access of people with disabilities to sporting opportunities.
