- Administers the national exams and
- Manages the admission and enrolment into the higher education institutions of Georgia

- Provide pupils with coordinated social and medical services;
- Provide for the general education by the pupils expelled from schools or those who are unable to attend lessons and taking measures to ensure school attendance; and
- School transportation.
