Central

The central government is responsible for:

  • “Connecting Europe" and TEN-T projects.
  • Contact point for the Connecting Europe Facility.
  • Work programmes and activities pertaining to TEN objectives.
  • TEN energy and communications projects.
  • Regional and international cooperation.
  • Maintenance of infrastructure (energy, communications and transport) of Hungary's three TEN corridors.

Regional

Regional authorities are responsible for:

  • Management, development, maintenance, and operation of some of the transport infrastructure, such as regional roads and railway lines (shared with national and local authorities).

Local

Local authorities are responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining local public roads.
