• The overall policypolicies, strategies, action plans for immigration, asylum and .combatting trafficking of persons
• Collecting and managing data on immigration and asylum, analyses and evaluates statistics, information and the flow of information in relevant areas of activities;
• Developing administrative, procedural directives and operational instructions
• Developing and implementing of bilateral agreements
• Review and decides on applications for citizenship, residence, asylum and international protection as well as return requests of foreigners in the country of return;
• Supervising the Asylum Centre for accommodation of asylum seekers as well as the Detention Centre for Foreigners;
• Facilitating the integration of refugees in the society of the Republic of Kosovo;
• The employment Agency issues a certificate on allowance of employment for the period the foreigner may work Kosovo;
• Coordinates and cooperates with the relevant ministries and municipalities 

Local

• Social assistance or emergency assistance to asylum seekers with status of refugee, additional or temporary protection;
• Provide training, information sessions and, awareness raising;
• Provide, assist or construct social housing and pay the rent for temporary shelter.
• Implementation of the national strategy for reintegration of repatriated persons.
