In the context of cooperation between the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission in the field of impact assessment, a workshop on the future Urban Mobility Package was held yesterday in the facilities of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.
The workshop focused on the results of studies and consultations carried out so far for the preparation of the impact assessment that will accompany a future EU initiative on urban mobility. In particular, three main thematic areas were analysed: Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, Access Restriction Schemes and City Logistics. The different policy options that are currently under discussion were also commented during the workshop and originated a lively debate.
