Relations with the EU/Representation at EU level

With regard to the Committee of the Regions' membership, the ZMOS appoints four members and five alternates, and the Regions name five members and four alternates.

The nomination of Slovak delegates to the Committee of the Regions and the Congress of Local and regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (CLRAE) is based on a verbal agreement between the ZMOS, the UMS, and the Regions. On this basis, the ZMOS names two delegates and one alternate to the Chamber of Local Authorities of CLRAE, and the UMS names one delegate and one alternate.

The self-governing Regions of Bratislava, Košice and Prešov each have a representation office in Brussels.

The ZMOS is a member of the Council of European Municipalities and regions (CEMR). Bratislava is a member of the Eurocities network[1].
