The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Craft Industries and Tourism is responsible for:

• studying, developing and facilitating the execution of programmes aimed at promoting tourist activities; 
• ensuring the integration and coordination of craft and tourism activities, including through the promotion and monitoring of existing activities and structures in the two sectors;
• initiating legislation and regulation governing tourism activities;
• ensuring that tourism activities comply with the laws and regulations in force;
• organising consultation with professional bodies in the tourism sector.
