 - Healthcare programmes;
 - International Cooperation
 - Defining the rules of the organization and functioning of the health system;
 - Environmental protection and ecological safety assurance;
 - The amount and payment of insurance premiums for compulsory insurance identification procedure;
 - Ensuring healthy competition between enterprises;
 - Family and child protection;
 
 
Local 
Local health care providers are financially dependent on local district health authorities (managed by the Ministry of Health) and municipalities.
Local government units own their own:
- District hospitals;
 - Polyclinics;
 - Specialised Clinics.
