The constitutive act of the EGTC with limited liability 'Linieland van Waas en Hulst' was published last 18 August in the Belgian Official Journal (Belgisch Staatsblad – Moniteur Belge). This is the first EGTC created under Belgian Law, and the first one created with Dutch partners, extending the EGTC now to 12 Member States. The EGTC 'Linieland van Waas en Hulst' groups the municipalities (gemeenten) of Beveren, Sint-Gillis-Waas and Stekene in Belgium and Hulst in the Netherland, and the provinces of Oost-Vlaanderen in Belgium and Zeeland in the Netherlands. The population of the municipalities adds up to circa 110.000 inhabitants.

The signature of the convention took place last 15 June in the municipality of Sint-Gillis-Waas, where the EGTC has got its headquarters.
