The 8th annual meeting of the EGTC Platform will take place on 8 October 2018 gathering over 70 EGTCs from all corners of Europe. The EGTC Platform integrates, through the coordination of the European Committee of the Regions, the political and technical representatives of all existing EGTCs. The Platform aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences on the ground, promoting the EGTC as a tool for territorial cohesion and to give visibility to EGTC projects, while also supporting the consultative works of the CoR in cross-border, transnational and interregional issues.

During this meeting we will present the latest EGTC Monitoring report and the new Regulation "European Cross Border Mechanism" that was proposed by the European Commission and that could have a far reaching impact on cross-border cooperation. We will also have a chance to hear from the European Commission about their report on the implementation of the EGTC Regulation and discuss the proposed Athens Declaration on the Future of Europe as seen by the EGTCs.

Following the main meeting, the Chair of the COTER Commission will present the winner and the honourable mentions of the 2018 EGTC Awards.
