Objectives
- To ensure compliance and sustainability of the Country of Art and History Label;
- To develop the capacity to achieve the goals set in the Convention "Country of Art and History, Catalan Valleys Tech and the Ter".
Objectives of the Country of Artand HistoryConvention: To promote the architectural quality, urban and landscape and promoting heritage;
- To develop a public policy by:
o Awareness of elected officials, residents and professionals to their architectural and landscape environment and their tangible and intangible heritage;
o Initiation of young people to architecture and heritage;
o Welcoming visitors;
- To develop the territori’s attractiveness and to permit cultural development through the emergence of quality tourism;
- To operate and disseminate research results ;
- To establish a platform for reflection and coordination (methodological and exchanges of experiences);
- To communicate, disseminate and promote the tangible and intangible heritage and their architectural and landscape environment.

Modification of memberschip
The EGTC intends to incorporate an actor of private law, which is one association loi 1901 (France) as a member.
Tasks
The EGTC implemented a European project in the framework of Interreg POCTEFA: Patrimc@t. It is a heritage valuation project that supported a heritage interpretation centre, a digital application, publications and the rehabilitation of monuments.
The grouping develops joint strategies by creating jobs, qualification and professionalisation, development of tourism as an economic sector, maintenance of the population and especially families on both sides of the border.

Interreg POCTEFA: Patrimc@t. Heritage Valuation Project: Heritage interpretation centre, digital application, publications, rehabilitation of monuments. Total project budget € 4,488,217.38 – Budget implemented by the EGTC € 987,800 - Amount co-funded by the EU for the EGTC € 519,220.
Staff (in FTE)
The EGTC hired 2.3 FTE directly during 2016 and 0.5 FTE indirectly (delegated staff).
Impact of changes of EGTC regulation on EGTC
The lack of a European status for the staff created an injustice between employees according to their nationality (social rights, pensions located in a foreign country).
