On September 9, 2011, the Bureau of the Committee of the Regions discussed and adopted the update of the Europe 2020 Monitoring Platfrom's Rolling Programme (September 2011-August 2012). Mrs Christine Chapman, CoR Member and Platform's political coordinator, presented key guidelines for future political actions and outlined the main achievements of the Platform between October 2010 and August 2011.

Preparation of the 2nd CoR Monitoring Report on Europe 2020, as the CoR contribution to the European Commission's Annual Growth Survey (December 2011)

Preparation of the 2012 Territorial Dialogue, to send a clear political message to the Spring European Council (February/March 2012)

Preparation of the 2012 Annual workshop of the Europe 2020 Monitoring Platform, to give an assessment on the implementation of Europe 2020 before country specific recommendations are addressed to Member States (May/June 2012)

Organising CoR Round Tables on "Implementing Europe 2020 in partnership" during the 2nd part of the year (i.e. during the "National Semester"), as a contribution to better implementation of the Strategy at country level as well as to the good practices listed in the CoR Monitoring Report, in line with Europe 2020 three pillars of smart, inclusive and sustainable growth
